Methodist Hospital hires new CEO: 4 things to know

Methodist Hospital in Henderson, Ky., has hired Gary R. Colberg as its new president and CEO.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Colberg.

1. He began his job April 11.

2. He joins Methodist Hospital from Brunswick-based Southeast Georgia Health System, where he was president and CEO.

3. During his tenure at Southeast Georgia Health System, Mr. Colberg oversaw the organization’s expansion of its facilities and services to include the outpatient care center, senior care centers in St. Marys, Ga., and Brunswick, the Center for Educational Development, medical plazas in St. Marys and Brunswick, and the Nunnally House, a lodging facility for cancer patients and family members of critical care patients.

4. In his new role, Mr. Colberg replaces Bruce Begley, who recently announced his retirement after more than 31 years of service.
