22 latest hospital, health system executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Kansas City, Mo.-based St. Joseph Medical Center CEO Robert Erickson stepped down from his role, after a little more than a year.

2. Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, R.I., and the Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island in North Smithfield announced the retirement of President and CEO Richard R. Charest.

3. Danville (Va.) Regional Medical Center named Aundrea Mills CNO.

4. Aurora, Colo.-based UCHealth appointed Marilyn Schock president of the yet-to-be built UCHealth Greeley (Colo.) Hospital, which is slated to break ground in 2017 and be completed by late 2018.

5. Albuquerque, N.M.-based Presbyterian Healthcare Services tapped Dale Maxwell to serve as interim CEO, after current President and CEO James H. Hinton leaves to take the helm of Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health in January 2017.

6. Berlin-based Central Vermont Medical Center President and CEO Judy Tartaglia is retiring March 31, 2017.

7. Newton, Mass.-based Atrius Health named Patrick Holland CFO.

8. Brevard, N.C.-based Transylvania Regional Hospital — a subsidiary of Asheville, N.C.-based Mission Health — named Michele Pilon president and CNO effective Nov. 14.

9. Olean (N.Y.) General Hospital appointed Vi-Anne Antrum, RN, CNO.

10. The Hospitals of Providence East Campus in El Paso, Texas, tapped Phil Young to serve as CEO.

11. Oakland, Calif.-based Alameda Health System appointed James E.T. Jackson chief administrative officer of Alameda (Calif.) Hospital and Richard Espinoza chief administrative officer of AHS' post-acute care service.

12. Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth, a part of Brewer-based Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems, tapped John Ronan to serve as acting president.

13. Blountstown, Fla.-based Calhoun Liberty Hospital appointed Charles E. Durant its new CEO.

14. Indianapolis-based Eskenazi Health named Kathi Johnson CFO.

15. A. Marc Harrison, MD, assumed his role as Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare's new president and CEO.

16. Rockville, Md.-based Indian Health Service named Mechele M. Peterson, MD, CMO of the IHS Great Plains Area.

17. Philip (S.D.) Health Services appointed Jeremy Schultes CEO.

18. PMH Medical Center in Prosser, Wash., tapped Craig J. Marks to lead as CEO.

19. Bangor-based Eastern Maine Medical Center named Donna Russell-Cook president.

20. University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock named Richard Turnage, MD, vice chancellor for clinical programs and CEO of UAMS Medical Center, also in Little Rock.

21. Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Alliance appointed Allan M. Spooner president and CEO of Franciscan Health Olympia Fields (Ill.) and Franciscan Health Chicago Heights (Ill.).

22. Following the reassignment of Wilmington (Del.) VA Medical Center's director, Robert W. Callahan Jr. was selected to temporarily lead the medical center, effective Oct. 16.
