Presbyterian Healthcare Services names Dale Maxwell interim CEO, after James Hinton’s move to Baylor Scott & White Health: 4 notes

Albuquerque, N.M.-based Presbyterian Healthcare Services tapped Dale Maxwell to serve as interim CEO, after current President and CEO James H. Hinton leaves to take the helm of Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health in January 2017.

Here are four notes:

1. Mr. Maxwell is currently executive vice president and chief administrative officer for Presbyterian Healthcare Services.

2. He joined Presbyterian in 2000 and has served in a number of leadership roles, including CFO for Presbyterian.

3. Presbyterian has no plans to immediately begin searching for a permanent CEO, noted Katharine W. Winograd, PhD, chair of the organization’s board.

4. Mr. Hinton has led Presbyterian Healthcare Services for 21 years.
