1. Most recently, Dr. Peterson served as chief of the medical staff at Tséhootsooí Medical Center in Fort Defiance, Ariz.

2. She has also previously served as a clinical assistant professor in the pediatrics department at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine in Hanover, N.H.

3. The IHS Great Plains Area includes 15 federal government facilities and funds 18 tribally operated health facilities.
