Central Vermont Medical Center CEO Judy Tartaglia to retire in 2017: 5 things to know

Berlin-based Central Vermont Medical Center President and CEO Judy Tartaglia is retiring March 31, 2017.

Here are five things to know:

1. Central Vermont Medical Center named Ms. Tartaglia to lead the center in 2007.

2. Before coming to Central Vermont Medical Center, she was president and CEO of Miles Health Care in Damariscotta, Maine.

3. During her tenure, the medical center expanded its offered medical services to include spine surgery, podiatry and hospitalist services.

4. In 2011, Ms. Tartaglia was instrumental in creating what became The University of Vermont Health Network.

5. Central Vermont Medical Center will soon begin the search for a new leader.
