Marilyn Schock tapped to serve as president of UCHealth Greeley Hospital: 5 points

Aurora, Colo.-based UCHealth appointed Marilyn Schock president of the yet-to-be built UCHealth Greeley (Colo.) Hospital, which is slated to break ground in 2017 and be completed by late 2018.

Here are five points:

1. Ms. Schock currently serves as COO of Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colo., and Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colo.

2. Equipped with 25 years of healthcare leadership experience, Ms. Schock has previously served as CEO of McKee Medical Center in Loveland and associate administrator at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.

3. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

4. Ms. Schock's new role as president is effective Oct. 24, however she will continue in her current role of COO under a successor is named.

5. UCHealth Greeley Hospital will feature 53 inpatient beds, an intensive care unit, an emergency department, operating rooms, advanced cardiology services and a birthing center.
