31 latest hospital, health system executive moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Matthew Bailey, president of Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health's South Central Region, will depart in a few months.

2. Tuscaloosa, Ala.-based DCH Health System named Paul B. Betz COO.

3. Tyler-based UT Health East Texas appointed Vicki Briggs CEO of UT Health Tyler, its 502-bed flagship hospital.

4. Shannon Brown, CEO of Huntsville (Texas) Memorial Hospital, resigned.

5. Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo named Ryan Chandler CEO.

6. Bon Secours St. Francis Health System in Greenville, S.C., tapped Tom Cummins, MD, to serve as CMO.

7. Cincinnati-based TriHealth appointed Kelley Ealy chief information security officer, a newly created position, effective March 5.

8. Chicago-based Presence Health President and CEO Michael Englehart is resigning, effective March 30.

9. Rutland (Vt.) Regional Medical Center named Claudio D. Fort president and CEO, effective in the spring.

10. Richmond-based Bon Secours Virginia appointed Paul Gaden CEO of Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va., and Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk, Va.

11. Jonathan Goble stepped down as president of Indiana University Health's North Central Region last month.

12. Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage selected Ella Goss, MSN, RN, to serve as CEO, effective March 12.

13. John Kessler, president and CEO of Salem (Ill.) Township Hospital, resigned March 5.

14. Camden, N.J.-based Cooper University Health Care selected Anthony Mazzarelli, MD, to serve as co-president.

15. Excelsior Springs (Mo.) Hospital tapped Cameron Meyer to serve as CFO.

16. Turlock, Calif.-based Emanuel Medical Center CEO Sue Micheletti is no longer working at the hospital.

17. Alexandria Bay, N.Y.-based River Hospital CEO Ben Moore plans to retire in October.

18. Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls, Iowa, hired Doug Morse to serve as CEO/administrator, effective April 16.

19. Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System named Adnan Munkarah, MD, executive vice president and chief clinical officer.

20. Cooper University Health Care named Kevin O'Dowd co-president.

21. St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, Conn., selected Dawn Rudolph to serve as president and CEO, effective March 23.

22. Cleveland Clinic named Edmund Sabanegh, MD, hospital president of its main campus.

23. Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Penrose-St. Francis Health Services CEO Margaret Sabin is resigning March 16.

24. Sayre, Pa.-based Guthrie selected Joseph T. Sawyer Jr., to serve as president of Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.

25. San Diego-based Scripps Health appointed Ghazala Sharieff, MD, its inaugural corporate vice president and chief experience officer.

26. Emanuel Medical Center Chief Nursing Officer Sony Sidhu is no longer working at the hospital.

27. Kansas City, Mo.-based HCA Midwest Health appointed Matt Sogard CEO of Overland Park (Kan.) Regional Medical Center, effective April 9.

28. Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, appointed Oscar Vega, MD, CMO.

29. Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth appointed Will Weider its permanent senior vice president and CIO, effective March 12.

30. Columbia, Md.-based MedStar Health selected Neil Weissman, MD, to serve as chief scientific officer, a newly-created executive leadership position.
