With the addition to her title, Dr. Kirby will increasingly work with Cooper’s board of trustees to evaluate new partnerships and models of care delivery as well as create a new strategic growth plan.
Mr. O’Dowd most recently served as senior executive vice president and chief administrative officer at Cooper. He joined Cooper in 2014. Prior to that, he worked in the federal and state government in several roles, including as chief of the securities and healthcare fraud unit in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey.
Dr. Mazzarelli previously served as Cooper’s senior executive vice president and chief physician executive. His prior experience at Cooper includes serving as medical director of emergency medicine, vice president of strategy planning and CMO.
Mr. O’Dowd and Dr. Mazzarelli will assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of the health system.
