Here are four things to know.
1. Neither the hospital nor Mr. Brown gave a reason for his departure. “Mr. Brown was an asset to HMH, and his achievements, strategic planning and leadership skills will be missed by the leadership team, physicians and employees,” the hospital’s board of directors said in a statement, The Huntsville Item reports.
2. Mr. Brown served as CEO of the hospital since May 2012, prior to which he was COO of River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, Miss.
3. Hospital CFO Max Owens took over as acting CEO.
4. The board plans on hiring a consulting firm and is considering hiring a temporary chief restructuring officer to improve hospital operations and strengthen financial stability.
