1. Detox center opens at Alliance Community Hospital
CommQuest Services opened a new drug and alcohol detox unit Monday at Alliance (Ohio) Community Hospital.
2. U of Kansas Health System to open $360M patient tower
Kansas City-based University of Kansas Health System will open its $360 million patient tower next week.
3. Mercy Hospital breaks ground on 228k square-foot facility
Oklahoma City-based Mercy Hospital broke ground Tuesday on a six-story, 228,000-square-foot acute care hospital next to its affiliate, Oklahoma Heart Hospital South.
4. UPMC to build $200M cancer research center after a 6-year delay
After a six-year delay, Pittsburgh-based UPMC is planning to transform a historic building into a new cancer research center with a $200 million investment.
5. IU Health West Hospital plans $83M expansion
Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health approved an $83 million expansion of IU Health West Hospital in Avon, Ind.
6. St. Luke's opens $114M hospital in Idaho
Boise, Idaho-based St. Luke's Health System opened its $114 million hospital Monday.
7. Scripps eyes real estate near Tri-City Medical Center
San Diego-based Scripps Health plans to build an 85,000-square-foot clinic facility in Oceanside, Calif.
8. Aurora Health Care breaks ground on new West Allis facility
Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care began construction Monday on a new, 30,000-square foot facility in West Allis, Wis.
9. McGehee Hospital opens $2.7M rural health clinic in a move to attract physicians
In an effort to attract physicians and nurses, McGehee (Ark.) Hospital opened a $2.7 million rural health clinic last month.
10. Georgia hospital to complete oncology unit renovations
Cordele, Ga.-based Crisp County Regional Hospital will soon finish an $800,000 renovation of its oncology unit.
11. Las Vegas-area hospital to open $13M freestanding ED
Henderson (Nev.) Hospital is planning a 24-hour freestanding emergency department as an extension to the hospital's current emergency facilities.
12. Indiana University Health to open Fort Wayne primary care location
Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health revealed plans to open a primary care medical office in Fort Wayne, Ind.
13. NewYork Presbyterian opens cardiothoracic robotic surgery center
New York City-based NewYork Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center opened its cardiothoracic robotic surgery center Oct. 25.
14. Tennessee hospital wins state approval for 72-bed, $47M expansion
Murfreesboro, Tenn.-based Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital will begin a 72-bed, $47 million expansion after receiving a certificate of need from the Tennessee Health Services and Development Agency.
15. Mayo to close Wisconsin clinic Jan. 1
Mayo Clinic Health System-Northland in Cameron, Wis., will close Jan. 1.
16. NYC Health + Hospitals announces systemwide expansion in underserved communities
NYC Health + Hospitals will add two facilities and renovate five others in a systemwide primary and specialty care expansion and renovation, in an effort to enhance access to healthcare in underserved communities throughout New York.
17. Beaumont Children's opens new pediatric cancer center
Royal Oak, Mich.-based Beaumont Children's Hospital opened its new pediatric cancer center, doubling the size of the pediatric hematology and oncology outpatient clinic.
