U.S. News & World Report released the 2026-27 edition of “Best Children’s Hospitals,” an annual evaluation of pediatric hospitals by specialty and by location, on Sept. 15, featuring 11 Honor Roll hospitals.
For the 20th edition, the media company, alongside RTI International, a North Carolina-based research and consulting firm, collected and examined data from 114 children’s hospitals and surveyed thousands of pediatric specialists. Hospitals are evaluated across 11 pediatric specialties.
This year’s edition names 90 top pediatric hospitals across 34 states and Washington, D.C., and includes 11 Honor Roll hospitals with the highest rankings across all specialties. The Honor Roll hospitals span eight states and Washington, D.C. The edition also includes the third annual evaluation of pediatric and adolescent behavioral health programs.
