33 recent hospital, health system executive moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week:

1. Luminis Health, a Maryland-based integrated health system, named Timothy Adelman its general counsel and chief legal officer, effective Oct. 28.

2. Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Ind., appointed Matt Bailey interim president, effective Oct. 28.

3. Davis Regional Medical Center in Statesville, N.C., named Rose Brandau chief nursing officer, effective Oct. 28.

4. Portland-based MaineHealth CEO William Caron Jr. plans to retire at the end of 2020.

5. Pinehurst, N.C.-based FirstHealth of the Carolinas appointed Rebecca Carter, RN, president of FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy, N.C., effective in December.

6. Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Lutheran Health Network has tapped Brady Dubois to serve as CEO of its flagship Lutheran Hospital, effective Dec. 4.

7. Eden, N.C.-based UNC Rockingham Health Care appointed Steve Eblin interim CEO, effective Oct. 30.

8. Salem (Mo.) Memorial District Hospital selected Jason Edwards to serve as COO.

9. Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County in New Albany, Miss., has tapped James Grantham to serve as administrator and CEO.

10. Lexington, Ky.-based Appalachian Regional Healthcare named Jeremy Hall community CEO for Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, Ky., effective Oct. 21.

11. Jeffrey Hatcher, MD, was named CMO of Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.

12. James Helms was appointed to a dual role as CFO of both St. James Hospital in Hornell, N.Y., and Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, N.Y., effective Oct. 27.

13. University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City has selected Timothy Kan to serve as its first chief growth officer, effective Dec. 2.

14. Karen Kramer will become senior vice president and chief hospital officer for CoxHealth's Springfield hospital group.

15. Lorraine Lutton, president and CEO of Charleston, S.C.-based Roper St. Francis Healthcare, plans to step down for a new role at Cincinnati-based Bon Secours Mercy Health.

16. Tedd Mitchell will step down Nov. 1 from his role as president of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center to focus on serving as chancellor of the Texas Tech University System.

17. Mike Nagowski, CEO of Cape Fear Valley Health System, is on temporary medical leave.

18. Dan Ordyna, CEO of Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho, is resigning later this year.

19. Edward Hospital in Naperville, Ill., named Robert Payton, MD, vice president and CMO.

20. Richard Petersen, president of Portland-based MaineHealth, will retire June 30, 2021.

21. Alvin Powell, MD, was selected to serve as chief health equity officer for Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health and CMO of Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, N.C.

22. Springfield, Mo.-based CoxHealth named Ron Prenger executive vice president and COO.

23. Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colo., has selected Regina Ramazani as CFO, effective in early December.

24. Steven Rose, RN, president and CEO of Seaford, Del.-based Nanticoke Health Services, will retire at the end of January 2020.

25. Honolulu-based Hawaii Health Systems Corp., named Thomas C. Royer, MD, interim CMO of its Kauai Region.

26. Kyle Sanders, president of Sebastian (Fla.) River Medical Center, is resigning Nov. 19 for a new job opportunity.

27. Pipestone (Minn.) County Medical Center tapped Sandra Schlechter to serve as CFO.

28. Centennial, Colo.-based Centura Health appointed Isaac Sendros CEO of its Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville, Colo., effective Nov. 25.

29. Boston-based Partners HealthCare has selected Ravi Thadhani, MD, to serve as chief academic officer, effective Nov. 11.

30. Northeastern Health System in Tahlequah, Okla., has tapped Rick Wagner to serve as CFO.

31. Lewiston-based Central Maine Healthcare has selected John Whitlock to serve as CFO.

32. James Wyatt, MD, was named CMO of Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.

33. Bon Secours, part of Cincinnati-based Bon Secours Mercy Health, appointed Faraaz Yousuf president of its Richmond (Va.) market, effective Dec. 1.
