20 latest hospital, health system executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. The Granite Falls (Minn.) Municipal Hospital and Manor named Thomas Kooiman CEO.

2. Sam Kaufman was named CEO of Henderson (Nev.) Hospital, the yet-to-open facility that is part of Las Vegas-based The Valley Health System.

3. Spokane, Wash.-based Sacred Heart Children's Hospital named Keith Georgeson, MD, CEO.

4. Middleburg Heights, Ohio-based Southwest Community Health System — the parent organization of Southwest General Health Center and the Southwest Community Health Foundation —  named William A. Young Jr. president and CEO.

5. Modesto, Calif.-based Memorial Medical Center named Bruce Laverty, MD, as its new chief medical executive.

6. Leitchfield, Ky.-based Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center named Kenneth Green, MD, its first CMO.

7. The Dayton (Ohio) Veterans Affairs Medical Center named Robert Gauder as chief of quality management services.

8. Sam Guild, CFO of Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Kan., tendered his resignation.

9. Murray (Ky.)-Calloway County Hospital appointed Jeffrey Eye, RN, MSN, CNO.

10. Lou Hochheiser, CEO of St. John's Medical Center in Jackson, Wyo., is retiring.

11. Shodair Children's Hospital in Helena, Mont., named Craig Aasved CEO.

12. Gerard van Grinsven, president and CEO of Cancer Treatment Centers of America, resigned.

13. Tacoma, Wash.-based CHI Franciscan Health named Ian G. Worden COO.

14. Lisa Colombo, DNP, RN, was named interim president of Clinton (Mass.) Hospital, part of Worcester, Mass.-based UMass Memorial Health Care.

15. Rich Osmus, CEO of Abbeville (S.C.) Area Medical Center, is retiring.

16. Vicki Darnell, president and CEO of Danville, Ky.-based Ephraim McDowell Health, resigned.

17. Stefan Strein, CIO of the $2.7 billion Annie E. Casey Foundation, is leaving his current position to become CIO of the $12.6 billion Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

18. Odette Bolano, BSN, was named president of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho.

19. South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside, N.Y., named Adhi Sharma, MD, senior vice president of medical affairs and CMO. 

20. Randy Moresi, CEO of North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills, Texas, intends to retire.
