CHI Franciscan Health appoints Ian Worden COO: 5 things to know

Tacoma, Wash.-based CHI Franciscan Health has named Ian G. Worden COO, according to a report published by the Bonney Lake-Sumner Courier-Herald.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Worden.

1. He began his job Oct. 19.

2. As COO, Mr. Worden will be responsible for "directing the operations of acute care services, coordinating and integrating services, and ensuring the delivery of cost-effective care," according to the report.

3. Prior to CHI Franciscan, Mr. Worden was executive vice president and COO of Indianapolis-based St. Vincent Health, part of St. Louis-based Ascension Health.

4. Previously, he was senior vice president of finance and COO of St. Vincent, and CFO of PeaceHealth in Eugene, Ore.

5. Mr. Worden received his bachelor's degree in psychology from Florida State University in Tallahassee. He also earned a master's degree in neuroscience, a Master of Business Administration and a master's degree in hospital administration from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
