Kaiser Permanente executive named president of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center: 6 things to know

Odette Bolano, BSN, has been named president of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho.

Here are six things to know about Ms. Bolano.

1. She will start her new job Dec. 21.

2. Ms. Bolano will take over the position that opened up when former President Rodney Reider was named president and CEO of Boise-based Saint Alphonsus Health System last year. 

3. She is currently senior vice president and area manager for Kaiser Permanente – East Bay in Oakland, Calif.  

4. In her position with Kaiser Permanente – East Bay, she oversees two hospitals, eight pharmacies, 800 physicians and 5,000 staff, and she has health plan responsibility for 316,000 members, according to a news release.

5. Her previous experience includes serving as president and CEO of Bryan, Texas-based St. Joseph Health System.

6. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fort Worth-based Texas Christian University, and a Master in Administration of Health Care Services from the University of Houston – Clear Lake.
