Here are three things to know about Mr. Kaufman.
1. He currently is CEO of Las Vegas-based Desert Springs Hospital, also part of The Valley Health System, and will continue to serve in this role, according to the report.
2. His initial goals for the 142-bed Henderson Hospital are two-fold. He told the Las Vegas Review-Journal officials want the hospital to be functional by late October 2016, and the hospital is working with a real estate company to lease and manage a medical office building adjacent to the hospital.
3. Mr. Kaufman earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Ind.
