Here are the 19 CFO moves that Becker’s has reported on in September:
1. Lori Peck has been appointed senior vice president and CFO of Wausau, Wis.-based Aspirus Health.
2. Sergio Melgar, CFO of Worcester, Mass.-based UMass Memorial Health will retire in January 2027 after 12 years in the role. Jeff Biesczat, who joined the system in early September, will succeed Mr. Melgar.
3. Alec King, executive vice president and CFO, will succeed David Callender, MD, president and CEO of Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System, when he retires at the end of the year after seven years leading the system.
4. Boyd Chappell has been named CFO of Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Ky.
5. Kim Cummings, CFO of Meadowbrook, Pa.-based Redeemer Health, will resign at the end of September. The system’s former CFO Michael Keen has returned to the role.
6. Chris Winters was appointed executive vice president and CFO of Columbus (Ind.) Regional Health, effective Sept. 21
7. Brittany Johnson has been named CFO of Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va.
8. Carrie Scott has been named CFO of Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Mo.
9. Mike Milligan was appointed CFO of the Oklahoma and Mid-Missouri region of St. Louis-based SSM Health. Mr. Milligan succeeds Shasta Manuel, who is moving into a senior leadership position at SSM Health.
10. Michael Gomez was named senior vice president and CFO Sept. 8 of Cooperstown, N.Y.-based Bassett Healthcare Network. He succeeds Craig Faerber, who served as CFO of Bassett from 2024 to 2026.
11. Jeremy Alexander was appointed permanent president and CEO of West Burlington, Iowa-based Great River Health. He succeeds Michael McCoy, MD, who resigned July 23 for personal reasons. Mr. Alexander had been serving in the role on an interim basis while continuing his responsibilities as CFO.
12. Kimberly Cooper was named CFO of Union County General Hospital in Clayton, N.M.
13. Mike Ostrander is exiting his role as CFO of Gloversville, N.Y.-based Nathan Littauer Hospital & Nursing Home.
14. Julia Puchtler has expanded her role to executive vice president and CFO of Philadelphia-based University of Pennsylvania Health System. She has served as the system’s CFO since July 2024.
15. Andrew DeVoe was appointed executive vice president and CFO of Albany (N.Y.) Med Health System, effective Oct. 5.
16. Maulin Patel was named executive vice president and CFO of Portland-based Oregon Health & Science University.
17. Matt Kinsella, regional CFO within St. Louis-based SSM Health, is stepping into a new role at Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health.
18. Nicole Marquez was named CFO of Carlsbad (N.M.) Medical Center.
19. Christine Markowitz was appointed CFO of Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, N.C.
