Michael Gomez was named senior vice president and CFO Sept. 8 of Cooperstown, N.Y.-based Bassett Healthcare Network. He succeeds Craig Faerber, who served as CFO of Bassett from 2024 to 2026.
Mr. Gomez has more than 15 years of healthcare experience, according to a news release from the health system.
Most recently, he served as CFO and market vice president of finance at CommonSpirit Health Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston.
He also served as CFO and vice president of finance at Pasadena, Texas-based Patients Medical Center, a community hospital part of Chicago-based CommonSpirit.
Bassett Healthcare Network comprises six hospitals and multiple health centers and specialty care clinics, according to its website.
