Christine Markowitz has been named CFO of Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, N.C., according to an Aug. 31 news release.
In her new role, Ms. Markowitz will oversee the hospital’s financial operations and work with hospital leaders on strategic planning, operational performance, and investments in services, technology and resources to support patient care.
Ms. Markowitz, who has more than 30 years of healthcare finance and leadership experience, most recently served as senior vice president and CFO of Beaufort (S.C.) Memorial, a 201-bed health system.
She also spent nearly six years at Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Health as market CFO for Sovah Health, a two-campus health system in Danville, Va., the release said.
