Jeremy Alexander has been named permanent president and CEO of West Burlington, Iowa-based Great River Health.
Mr. Alexander succeeds Michael McCoy, MD, who resigned July 23 for personal reasons. Mr. Alexander had been serving in the role on an interim basis while continuing his responsibilities as CFO, according to a Sept. 14 Great River Health news release.
He has been a member of Great River Health’s executive leadership team since 2018. He has helped lead the system through its merger with Fort Madison (Iowa) Community Hospital, the unification of its hospitals into Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center, and the addition of Mount Pleasant, Iowa-based Henry County Health Center through a long-term lease. He also served as executive sponsor of the system’s Epic EHR implementation.
