The following hospital and health system executive moves were announced or made in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Gold Beach, Ore.-based Curry Health Network announced the appointment of Virginia “Ginny” Razo as CEO, effective May 4.

2. Larry Schumacher, COO of Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System, left the system. HSHS has not clarified whether Mr. Schumacher was fired or resigned.

3. University of Virginia Culpeper Hospital in Culpeper has announced the appointment of Thomas Reynolds, MD, as CMO.

4. The New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation announced the appointment of John Morley, MD, as CMO of HHC Jacobi Medical Center and HHC North Central Bronx Hospital, both located in the Bronx, N.Y.

5. Sandy Haryasz, RN, CEO of 25-bed Page (Ariz.) Hospital, part of Phoenix-based Banner Health, will retire in August after 21 years serving on the hospital’s management team.

6. El Dorado, Kan.-based Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital named Patrick A. Auman, PhD, interim CEO.

7. Physicians Regional Healthcare System in Naples named Scott Lowe CEO. Mr. Lowe has been serving as the system’s acting CEO since December 2014 following the departure of former CEO C. Scott Campbell.

8. John Prout, CEO of Cincinnati-based TriHealth, is passing his title of president on to new hire Mark Clement while retaining his role as CEO.

9. Nikki Roux, RN, has been appointed vice president and CNO of Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital in Humble, Texas.

10. Hackensack University Health Network, part of Hackensack (N.J.) University Health System, announced the appointment of Mark Sparta to the newly created role of executive president and chief population health officer, effective May 15.

11. Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare has promoted Sally Deitch, RN, to CEO of the Sierra Providence Health Network in El Paso, Texas.

12. Carolinas HealthCare System is eliminating the position of president and COO, meaning Joe Piemont will leave the Charlotte, N.C.-based system at the end of May.

13. Tahoe Forest Hospital District in Truckee, Calif., named Jake Dorst interim CEO to replace outgoing interim CEO Virginia Razo.

14. Sheffield, Ala.-based Helen Keller Hospital has named Penny Westmoreland CFO. Ms. Westmoreland began her appointment March 30.

15. Victoria, Texas-based Citizens Medical Center’s board of directors unanimously voted to appoint S. Jeff Ackerman, MD, interim CEO.

16. Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, Vt., named Joseph Perras, MD, CMO.

17. Children’s Medical Center Plano (Texas) announced the appointment of Michael Wiggins as senior vice president and administrator.

18. Newly formed Jackson, Miss.-based Merit Health named Steve Dobbs CEO.
