13 recent hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

The executives are listed below, alphabetically.

1. Bear Lake Memorial Hospital in Montpelier, Idaho, has appointed Michael Blauer administrator/CEO, effective Sept. 1.

2. Dick Brvenik, president and CEO of Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, N.C., plans to retire in February 2020.

3. Blain Claypool, CEO of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho, will resign, effective Sept. 27.

4. Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas, Wyo., has selected Matt Dammeyer to serve as CEO, effective Sept. 30.

5. Keith Goodwin, president and CEO of East Tennessee Children's Hospital in Knoxville, announced his plans to retire.

6. Andalusia (Ala.) Health has tapped Clint Kendall to serve as CEO, effective Sept. 30.

7. River Hospital in Alexandria Bay, N.Y., has tapped Emily Mastaler to serve as CEO, effective in the fall.

8. Joseph Mullany, regional president and CEO of St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Bayfront Health, resigned Aug. 21.

9. West Florida Hospital in Pensacola has tapped Gay Nord to serve as CEO, effective Sept. 23.

10. John O'Brien, CEO of Manning (Iowa) Regional Healthcare Center, is retiring, effective Sept. 1.

11. Michael O'Keefe, CEO of Redfield, S.D.-based Community Memorial Hospital, was ousted by the city's council.

12. Fayetteville, Tenn.-based Lincoln Health System CEO Candie A. Starr left the role Aug. 21.

13. Will Wagnon, CEO of three HCA Virginia facilities, stepped down Aug. 23.
