CEO of 3 HCA Virginia hospitals resigns

Will Wagnon, CEO of three HCA Virginia facilities, stepped down Aug. 23, according to a Richmond Times-Dispatch report.

Mr. Wagnon was CEO of Henrico Doctors' Hospital, Parham Doctors' Hospital and Retreat Doctors' Hospital, all located in Richmond and part of HCA Virginia. He left the role to spend more time with his family, an HCA Virginia spokesperson told the Times-Dispatch.

He worked at Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare for more than 22 years, becoming CEO of Henrico, Parham and Retreat Doctors' hospitals in 2013. He was previously CEO of MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas.

Mr. Wagnon is a fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and holds a master's degree in health administration from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

HCA will conduct a national search to select his successor, Mr. Wagnon wrote staff Aug. 22 in an email announcing his departue.
