Manning Regional Healthcare Center CEO John O’Brien to retire

John O’Brien, CEO of Manning (Iowa) Regional Healthcare Center, is retiring, effective Sept. 1.

Mr. O’Brien became CEO of the organization in 2012. During his tenure, the organization’s flagship critical access hospital transitioned to a 62,000-square-foot replacement facility. With his retirement, he will be ending a 44-year career in healthcare, several spent in administrative roles.

Linn Block, RN, will succeed Mr. O’Brien. She has served as Manning Regional Healthcare Center’s chief nursing officer since 2015. She has more than 28 years of healthcare experience, including working at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa.
