26 latest hospital, health system executive moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Highlands Hospital in Connellsville, Pa., selected John Andursky to serve as permanent president and CEO.

2. South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center, Fla., appointed Daniel Bender permanent CEO.

3. Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley, Calif., named Monica Biley, BSN, RN, vice president and chief executive nurse officer.

4. McLaren Thumb Region in Bad Axe, Mich., selected Norman Chapin, MD, to serve as CMO.

5. Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health appointed Steven Choi, MD, its inaugural chief quality officer.

6. Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health named Michael Coggin CFO, effective once the organization completes its merger with RCCH HealthCare Partners, also in Brentwood.

7. Richmond-based HCA Virginia appointed Lauren Cutter, MSN, RN, chief nursing officer for Parham Doctors' Hospital in Richmond.

8. Raymond F. Fredericks will serve as regional president of Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health's Central Market.

9. Albia, Iowa-based Monroe County Hospital and Clinics CEO Veronica Fuhs will serve as chief executive of Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, Iowa, as well.

10. Orange Park (Fla.) Medical Center selected Chris Glenn to serve as CFO.

11. Elbert Memorial Hospital in Elberton, Ga., appointed Tammy Harlow, BSN, MSN, chief nursing officer.

12. Hackensack Meridian Health named Timothy J. Hogan president of care transformation services.

13. Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, N.M., hired Caryn Iverson, MSN, DHA, RN, to serve as chief nursing officer.

14. Pinehurst, N.C.-based FirstHealth of the Carolinas CEO David Kilarski is planning to retire at the end of July 2019.

15. Michael Maiberger, president of Dayton, Ohio-based Miami Valley Hospital and executive vice president and COO of its parent Dayton-based Premier Health, will drop the former title.

16. Chris McLean, chief administrative officer of Memphis, Tenn.-based Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, is leaving to take on a new role within the Shelby County Government.

17. UPMC appointed Mark O'Hern president of UPMC McKeesport (Pa.) and UPMC East in Monroeville, Pa.

18. Snoqualmie (Wash.) Valley Hospital CEO Tom Parker is resigning, effective Nov. 24.

19. Salina (Kan.) Regional Health Center COO Joel Phelps is adding 'president' to his title.

20. Lompoc (Calif.) Valley Medical Center named Stephen Popkin CEO, effective in January 2019.

21. Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health appointed Kenneth N. Sable, MD, regional president of its Southern Market.

22. Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health named Ihor S. Sawczuk, MD, regional president of its Northern Market.

23. Fond du Lac, Wis.-based Agnesian HealthCare tapped DeAnn Thurmer to serve as president and chief nursing officer of Ripon (Wis.) Medical Center and Waupun (Wis.) Memorial Hospital.

24. Tavares-based Florida Hospital Waterman appointed Terri Warren CFO, effective Nov. 5.

25. Overland Park, Kan.-based HCA Midwest Health selected Nan Whalen, MSN, RN, to serve as chief nursing officer at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

26. Le Mars, Iowa-based Floyd Valley Healthcare, a critical access hospital, named Dustin Wright CEO, effective Dec. 10.
