22 latest hospital, health system executive moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Bethesda, Md.-based National Institutes of Health Clinical Center, a clinical research hospital, selected retired U.S. Navy Capt. Pius Aiyelawo to serve as COO.

2. Children's Hospital in New Orleans tapped George Bisset, III, MD, to serve as CMO.

3. Morgantown, W.Va.-based WVU Medicine selected Anna Buchanan to serve as vice president of finance and CFO of Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va., and Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, W. Va., effective April 2.

4. Kearney (Neb.) Regional Medical Center appointed Bill Calhoun CEO, effective April 18.

5. Oswego (N.Y.) Health selected Jeff Coakley to serve as executive vice president and COO of Oswego Hospital.

6. Johnson City, Tenn.-based Ballad Health named Deborah Dover senior vice president of talent engagement and chief human resources officer, effective in late April.

7. Plantation (Fla.) General Hospital named Jesse Gabuat, BSN, chief nursing officer.

8. Jackson-based University of Mississippi Medical Center tapped Paula Henderson to serve as its new chief human resources officer.

9. Tim Lancaster, president and CEO of Hendrick Health System in Abilene, Texas, is retiring in December.

10. Burlington-based University of Vermont Health Network appointed Michelle LeBeau, RN, president of Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, N.Y., as well as president and COO of Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, N.Y.

11. St. Louis-based SSM Health tapped Steve Little to serve as its first-ever regional COO, effective May 1.

12. Appleton, Wis.-based ThedaCare named Maggie Lund, PhD, chief human resources officer.

13. Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health appointed Tammy Lundstrom, MD, senior vice president and CMO, effective April 30.

14. Robert Malte, CEO of Kirkland, Wash.-based EvergreenHealth, is planning to retire by the end of 2018.

15. Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health appointed Daniel P. Moen president of Trenton, N.J.-based St. Francis Medical Center.

16. Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health named Mike Patterson market president in Western Arizona, a newly created role, effective April 1.

17. Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay, Ore., appointed Alex Penney chief quality officer.

18. Becky Rice, president of Upper Valley Medical Center in Tory, Ohio, retired.

19. Boca Raton, Fla.-based Cancer Treatment Centers of America appointed Jeff Ryan COO of its Philadelphia location.

20. Honolulu-based Hawaii Health Systems Corp. selected Lance Segawa to serve as CEO of the Kauai region.

21. Morgantown, W.Va.-based Mon Health selected Thomas Senker to serve as interim CEO, effective April 5.

22. Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente appointed Dave Underriner president of Oahu-based Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals of Hawaii.
