Hawaii Health Systems Corp. appoints Lance Segawa CEO of Kauai region: 4 notes

Honolulu-based Hawaii Health Systems Corp. selected Lance Segawa to serve as CEO of the Kauai region, according to The Garden Island.

Here are four notes:

1. Mr. Segawa most recently served as Hawaii state director of the Mountain Pacific Quality Health Foundation.

2. He formerly served as executive director of operations and interim COO at Hawaii Health Systems Corp.

3. He succeeds Peter Klune, who resigned citing "personal and family reasons," according to the report.

4. Hawaii Health Systems Corp. is a safety net acute care provider and long term care provider, operating 1,303 licensed beds in facilities on five different islands.
