16 recent hospital, health system executive moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week.

They're listed below, in alphabetical order, by the executive's last name.

1. McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, Ill., appointed Edwin Card, MD, to CMO, effective July 1.

2. Sutter Davis (Calif.) Hospital named Tamara Davis, RN, chief nurse executive.

3. Summerville (S.C.) Medical Center named Alec Grabowski as COO in a July 2 announcement.

4. Savannah, Ga.-based Memorial Health has appointed Todd Isbell chief nursing officer.

5. Augusta (Ga.) University Health System has tapped Katrina Keefer to serve as CEO, effective July 15.

6. OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, Ill., has appointed Jackie Kernan, RN, president, effective July 15.

7. Miami-based Nicklaus Children's Health System CEO Narendra Kini, MD, resigned June 28, ending an 11-year tenure.

8. Ryan C. Kitchell, executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health, plans to resign at the end of the year.

9. Cincinnati-based UC Health has selected Michael Legg to serve as vice president and inaugural chief data and analytics officer, effective July 8.

10. Boca Raton (Fla.) Regional Hospital selected Lincoln S. Mendez to serve as CEO, effective in August.

11. Bradenton, Fla.-based Blake Medical Center selected Lisa Nummi, DNP, as COO, effective July 1.

12. Kim Russel, president and CEO of Lincoln, Neb.-based Bryan Health, plans to retire effective Jan. 3, 2020.

13. Steven M. Safyer, MD, president and CEO of New York City-based Montefiore Medicine, announced his plans to retire.

14. Cleveland Clinic has appointed Semih Sen chief business development officer, a newly created position.

15. Michael Slubowski has started his tenure as president and CEO of Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health, effective July 1.

16. Cheverly-based University of Maryland Capital Region Health has appointed Joseph L. Wright, MD, interim president and CEO, effective July 7.
