Mr. Breier joined Kindred in August 2005 as president of the rehabilitation division. He became president of the company’s hospital division in 2008, and was later promoted to COO in August 2010. Mr. Breier assumed the additional responsibilities as Kindred’s president in May 2012.
Mr. Breier succeeds Paul J. Diaz, who is now executive vice chairman of the Kindred board of directors. Mr. Breier is also a member of Kindred’s board of directors.
