Elmhurst Hospital taps Pamela Dunley to lead as CEO: 4 things to know

Elmhurst (Ill.) Hospital selected Pamela Dunley, MBA, RN, to serve as president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2017.

Here are four things to know:

1. Ms. Dunley has worked at Elmhurst Hospital since 1997, during which time she has served in a number of administrative positions.

2. Most recently, she served as both COO and CNO.

3. She holds a master’s degree in nursing from Rush University in Chicago and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Dominican University in River Forest, Ill.

4. Ms. Dunley replaces Mary Lou Mastro, MS, RN, who will become CEO of Naperville, Ill.-based Edward-Elmhurst Health on Jan. 1, 2017.

5. Elmhurst Hospital named Laura Eslick, MBA, to serve as COO and Jean Lydon, RN, MS-MBA, to serve as CNO, once Ms. Dunley takes on her new role.
