San Joaquin Community Hospital appoints Sharlet Briggs permanent CEO: 4 things to know

San Joaquin Community Hospital in Bakersfield, Calif., a part of Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health, named Sharlet Briggs its permanent president and CEO.

Here are four things to know:

1. Ms. Briggs has served at hospital’s helm on an interim basis, in addition to her role as COO, since September 2016.

2. Ms. Briggs has been with Adventist Health for nearly 25 years, and has worked at a number of its hospitals, including Ukiah (Calif.) Medical Center.

3. She joined San Joaquin Community Hospital in 2012 as vice president for organizational excellence, and was then promoted to senior vice president.

4. Former hospital President and CEO Doug Duffield left his post to take on a leadership role at a healthcare system in the Pacific Northwest.
