AHA names 8 new board members

The American Hospital association has elected eight new members to its board of trustees, who will serve three-year terms effective January 1.

Listed below is each new board member in alphabetical order.

  1. Christina Campos, administrator of Santa Rosa, N.M.-based Guadalupe County Hospital, a 10-bed acute care hospital in rural eastern New Mexico. She previously served as the chair of the New Mexico Hospital Association board of directors.
  2. Robert Casalou , regional president and CEO of Canton, Mich.-based Saint Joseph Mercy Health System. He previously served as the chair of the Michigan Hospital Association board.
  3. Douglas Cropper, president and CEO of Davenport, Iowa-based Genesis Health System. He has more than 35 years of healthcare experience.
  4. David Entwistle, president and CEO of Stanford (Calif.) Health Care and previously CEO of University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics in Salt Lake City.
  5. John Haupert, president and CEO of Atlanta-based Grady Health and previously served as COO of Dallas-based Parkland Health and Hospital System. He has been the recipient of the ACHE Regent’s Leadership Award.
  6. Candice Saunders, president and CEO of Marietta, Ga.-based WellStar Health System, previously serving as their COO after joining WellStar in 2007 as the president of WellStar Kennestone Hospital.
  7. Peter Wright, president and CEO of Claremont, N.H.-based Valley Regional Healthcare and serves on the board and executive committee of the New Hampshire Hospital Association.
  8. Claire Zangerle, chief nurse executive of Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network and previously served as president and executive officer of the Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio and CNO at Cleveland Clinic.
