Maui Health System names new CEO

Michael Rembis, FACHE, has been named the new CEO of Wailuku, Hawaii-based Maui Health System effective August 21, according to Maui Now.

Mr. Rembis has previously served as CEO of El Segundo, Calif.-based Paladin Healthcare as well as Avanti Hospitals, also in El Segundo. He will be replacing Ray Hahn, who will soon leave Maui Health System to serve as senior vice president and COO for Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals in Hawaii.

“I am honored to provide leadership for Maui Health System and further its mission to provide high-quality healthcare to all on Maui and Lanai,” said Mr. Rembis. “I look forward to becoming an active member of the community and working together to improve healthcare for our patients and the community.”
