26 recent hospital, health system CNO and CMO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system chief nursing officer and CMO moves in the last four weeks.

They are listed below, alphabetized by executive.

1. Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Fla., has tapped Elizabeth Adams, DNP, RN, to serve as chief nursing officer.

2. David Baumgartner, MD, CMO of Mercy Health St. Mary's in Grand Rapids, Mich., is retiring, effective Sept. 6.

3. St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Fla., has selected Peter Charvat, MD, to serve as CMO.

4. Marcia Cook, DNP, RN, will serve as CNO at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Pa.

5. Cherokee (Iowa) Regional Medical Center appointed Melissa Cunningham, RN, new vice president of clinical services and CNO.

6. John Darnell, MD, CMO of Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland, Ky., is retiring, effective Feb. 15, 2020.

7. Tyrone (Pa.) Regional Health Network has appointed Beth Dietrick, RN, chief nursing officer of Tyrone Hospital.

8. Kate FitzPatrick, DNP, RN, chief nursing officer at Burlington-based University of Vermont Medical Center, is leaving for a leadership role at Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health, effective Oct. 1.

9. Marshfield (Wis.) Clinic Health System has tapped Jacquelyn Frombach, DNP, to serve as regional chief nursing officer for the Marshfield Medical Center-Minocqua (Wis.) hospital, which is currently under construction.

10. Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls has tapped Tami Frost to serve as chief nursing officer.

11. Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, Fla., has selected Kim Hatchel, DNP, to serve as chief nursing officer.

12. IU Health Tipton (Ind.) Hospital appointed Melissa Hicks, DNP, chief nursing officer.

13. Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio, appointed Dana Kocsis, MSN, RN, chief nursing officer, effective Aug. 16.

14. Lynn C. Kosar, RN, will become CNO at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, Pa.

15. Johnson City, Tenn.-based Ballad Health appointed Herb Ladley, MD, CMO for the Northwest Division.

16. Daniel Lewis, MD, was named CMO for both campuses of Greeneville (Tenn.) Community Hospital.

17. OSF St. Paul Medical Center in Mendota, Ill., has selected Leonardo Lopez, MD, to serve as CMO.

18. Leonardo Lozada, MD, has resigned as CMO of Detroit Medical Center.

19. Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Neb., has tapped Bill Lydiatt, MD, to serve as vice president of medical affairs and CMO.

20. New Orleans-based Tulane Health System has tapped Brandon Mauldin, MD, to serve as CMO.

21. Elizabeth Murphy, RN, vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at Mercy Health Saint Mary's in Grand Rapids, Mich., is retiring, effective Nov. 5.

22. Osage Beach, Mo.-based Lake Regional Health System selected Harbaksh Sangha, MD, to serve as CMO.

23. Rocky Mount, N.C.-based Nash UNC Health Care has tapped Anne Shriner, MD, to serve as CMO, effective in the fall.

24. Orange Park (Fla.) Medical Center appointed Brad Shumaker, MD, as its CMO.

25. Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System selected Janet Tomcavage, RN, to serve as chief nursing executive, effective Aug. 1.

26. Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay, Ore., named Michael van Duren, MD, its new CMO.
