Allegheny Health Network names CNOs for 2 hospitals

Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network appointed chief nursing officers for Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, Pa., and Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Pa.

Marcia Cook, DNP, RN, will serve as CNO at Allegheny Valley Hospital. She previously was director of professional practice and education at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Prior to that, she was corporate director of quality and clinical operations and HIPAA compliance officer for Adagio Health, also in Pittsburgh.

Dr. Cook earned her doctor of nursing practice degree from Carlow University and holds a master’s of public management degree from Carnegie Mellon University, both in Pittsburgh.

Lynn C. Kosar, RN, will become CNO at Forbes Hospital. Ms. Kosar most recently served as clinical director of inpatient services at UPMC Passavant, with campuses in Cranberry Township, Pa., and Pittsburgh. She was previously director of clinical operations for the UPMC Center for Nursing Excellence.

Ms. Kosar serves on the board of directors of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Organization of Nurse Leaders and is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Leaders.
