Mr. King served as CEO of the Plainview hospital from 2009 to 2013. He now assumes the top post again, replacing Robert Copeland. Mr. Copeland has taken on a new role within the Lubbock, Texas-based Covenant Health System after serving as CEO of the Plainview hospital for three years.

“[The] board and I felt it was important to have some continuity in the CEO role,” Covenant Health CEO Richard Parks told My Plainview. “Since he has significant experience recruiting physicians, knows the medical staff and caregivers extensively, we have decided to have Alan King return.”

During his previous tenure as CEO of the hospital, Mr. King led a $40 million renovation project.
