New CEO named for Covenant Health Plainview: 4 things to know

Robert “Bob” Copeland has been hired as CEO of Covenant Health Plainview (Texas), according to a Plainview Herald report.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Copeland.

1. He took over as interim CEO of Covenant Health Plainview last April after Clay Taylor resigned to take on an administrative role within Covenant Health System in Lubbock, Texas.

2. Previously, Mr. Copeland was president/regional vice president of Mercy Hospital in Carthage, Mo.

3. Among Mr. Copeland’s accomplishments at Mercy Hospital was his leadership in planning, constructing and moving into a new replacement facility, according to the report.

4. Mr. Copeland earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, as well as a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
