25 latest hospital, health system executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Ginger Fisher, RN, BSN, joined Utah Valley Specialty Hospital, a 40-bed long-term acute care hospital based in Provo, as COO.

2. David Tilton, president and CEO of Atlantic City, N.J.-based AtlantiCare, will retire from this post June 30. He will be succeeded by Lori Herndon, RN, BSN, AtlantiCare's executive vice president and AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center president and CEO.

3. Robert Lenza was named CEO of San Antonio-based Methodist Children's Hospital and Women's Services.

4. Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System has hired Dan Styf as senior vice president and CEO of its health plan business. 

5. Susan Ehrlich, MD, was named CEO of the Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.

6. Karen Faulis, RN, BSN, was named CEO of Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, Calif., effective Feb. 22.

7. Conway (S.C.) Medical Center appointed David Crutchfield to the newly created vice president of information services and CIO positions.

8. Wayne Keathley will step down as inaugural president of Houston-based Baylor College of Medicine and Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives' joint venture. The partnership includes construction of a hospital on Baylor's McNair Campus, called CHI St. Luke's Health-Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center.

9. James "Jim" Wells, RN, BSN, was promoted to CNO of EASTAR Health System in Muskogee, Okla., an affiliate of Franklin, Tenn.-based hospital operator Capella Healthcare.

10. Lamar McBride was promoted to CEO of Northern Colorado Long Term Acute Hospital in Johnstown.

11. Venice (Fla.) Regional Bayfront Health named John McLain CEO.

12. Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City, N.M., hired Michael Metts as CFO.

13. Michael Perry, MD, president and CEO of Freeport, Ill.-based FHN healthcare system, will retire Dec. 31, 2016.

14. Raleigh, N.C.-based UNC Rex Healthcare has hired Susan Sandberg, RN, BSN, as COO.

15. Dan Otero, chief administrative officer of Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City, N.M., will leave his post to become CEO of Lordsburg, N.M.-based Hidalgo Medical Services.

16. Robert Probe, MD, joined Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health as CMO and executive vice president.

17. Bryan Nermoe was named president of Bemidji-based Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota.

18. Patrick Faricy, MD, CMO of Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Memorial Hospital, retired.

19. Kathy Harren, RN, MSN, was named regional CNO of Providence Health & Services, Southern California, a nonprofit Catholic healthcare ministry serving the SouthBay, Westside and the Greater San Fernando Valley Area.

20. Jeff Brown was appointed senior vice president and CIO of Seattle Children's Hospital.

21. Louisville-based KentuckyOne Health named Stephanie Mayfield Gibson, MD, vice president of population health for the KentuckyOne Health and CMO of KentuckyOne Health Partners, the Medicare approved accountable care organization formed by KentuckyOne Health.

22. Kerrie Guerrero, DNP, RN, MSN, was named vice president and CNO of Houston Methodist The Woodlands (Texas) Hospital, a new hospital scheduled to open in 2017.

23. Boston-based Partners HealthCare named Dani Monroe to its newly created position of chief diversity and inclusion officer.

24. Travis Capers was named president of SSM Health's St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis, effective March 28.

25. Mountain View Regional Hospital in Casper, Wyo., appointed Bill Perkins CEO.
