Robert Lenza to lead Methodist Children's Hospital: 4 things to know

Robert Lenza has been named CEO of San Antonio-based Methodist Children's Hospital and Women's Services, according to a San Antonio Business Journal report.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Lenza.

1. In his role, he will oversee the ongoing expansion of the children's hospital, which will increase the bed count from 195 to 247 once completed, according to the report.

2. He has more than 20 years of healthcare experience.

3. Most recently, he served in an executive leadership role at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma, Wash. There, he had responsibility for all strategic and operational functions of the hospital and its outpatient pediatric network, according to the report.

4. He also previously led strategic growth and program development in the MultiCare Health System in Tacoma, and served as an active duty Medical Service Corps officer in the U.S. Army.
