Memorial Hospital's CMO retires: 6 things to know

Patrick Faricy, MD, CMO of Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Memorial Hospital, has retired, according to The Gazette.

Here are six things to know about Dr. Faricy.

1. He became CMO of Memorial Hospital in 2011.

2. During his tenure, Memorial Hospital transitioned from city-operated hospital to being operated by Aurora-based University of Colorado Health.

3. Also during his tenure, he served under four Memorial Hospital boards of directors, three CEOs and at least three CFOs, according to the report.

4. He attended the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora and became a urologist.

5. According to the report, Dr. Faricy previously helped lead Urological Associates in Colorado Springs through a decades-long expansion and later was president of the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners.

6. Memorial Hospital has not yet named a replacement for Dr. Faricy. William Neff, MD, UCHealth's CMO, will fill the role in the interim.
