Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system chief nursing officer and CMO moves in the last four weeks. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Medical Center of Trinity (Fla.) selected Courtney Stephenson, MSN, RN, to serve as assistant CNO.

2. Covington, La.-based Lakeview Regional Medical Center appointed Jennifer Schmidt, MSN, RN, CNO.

3. Steward Health Care's St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton, Mass., selected Dicken S. C. Ko, MD, to serve as vice president of medical affairs and CMO.

4. Cleveland-based University Hospitals hired William W. Brien, MD, to serve as chief quality and medical officer.

5. Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City, Kan., recently appointed Jay Fogg CNO.

6. Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Mass., appointed David Spoor, BSN, vice president for patient care services/CNO.

7. Peg Kennedy, vice president and chief nursing executive at Fremont (Neb.) Health, is retiring.

8. Barry Gross, MD, Newport News, Va.-based Riverside Health System's executive vice president and CMO, will leave his roles in 2018.

9. Pleasanton, Calif.-based Stanford Health Care-ValleyCare named David Svec, MD, CMO.

10. Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Mass., appointed Frances Gomes Marthone, PhD, RN, CNO.

11. Dignity Health-Community Hospital of San Bernardino (Calif.) hired Andrew Fragen, MD, to serve as CMO, effective Dec. 11.

12. Lowell, Mass.-based Circle Health tapped Arthur Lauretano, MD, to serve as CMO, effective Jan. 1, 2018.

13. St. Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy, Calif., and O'Connor Hospital in San Jose, Calif., appointed Arthur Douville, MD, CMO.

14. Merit Health Rankin in Brandon, Miss., selected Cynthia Ellis, BSN, to serve as CNO.

15. Dosher Memorial Hospital in Southport, N.C., selected Brad Hilaman, MD, to serve as CMO.

16. Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Health Vice President and CNO Susan McRoberts, BSN, MSN, retired in mid-December.

17. Hackensack Meridian Health's Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, N.J., appointed Rebecca Graboso, DNP, RN, its permanent vice president, chief nurse executive.

18. Muleshoe (Texas) Area Medical Center tapped Ginger Yaeger, RN, to serve as CNO.

19. Ivan Mazzorana, MD, CMO of Fort Myers, Fla.-based Park Royal Hospital resigned citing "different philosophies" with the hospital's administration over patient care.

20. Nashville, Tenn.-based Ardent Health Services tapped Frank J. Campbell, MD, to serve as CMO.

21. State College, Pa.-based Mount Nittany Health selected Nirmal Joshi, MD, to serve as system CMO.

23. Appleton, Wis.-based ThedaCare selected Vicky Barnthouse, MSN, to serve as chief nursing executive.

24. MemorialCare Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach (Calif.) appointed Graham Tse, MD, associate CMO.

25. Julian Craig, MD, CMO of Washington, D.C.-based United Medical Center has been fired after accusing the firm managing the hospital of misconduct in October.
