Franciscan Health chief nursing officer announces retirement plans: 4 notes

Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Health Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Susan McRoberts, BSN, MSN, expects to retire in mid-December.

Here are four notes:

1. Ms. McRoberts has worked at Franciscan Health for 37 years, serving as CNO for the last 20.

2. She has previously worked as a behavioral health nurse at the former LaRue D. Carter Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis.

3. Over the course of her tenure, she helped establish the Indiana Center for Nursing and cultivated partnerships with schools of nursing at Bloomington-based Indiana University and University of Indianapolis.

4. She has also served as an adjunct visiting professor in the graduate and doctoral nursing programs at Indiana University.
