1. Previously, Dr. Svec served as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Stanford (Calif.) Health Care and medical director of the hospitalist team at Stanford Health Care-ValleyCare.

2. He will continue to serve as a hospitalist while taking on new responsibilities per the CMO role, according to Scott Gregerson, president of Stanford Health Care-ValleyCare.

3. Experienced in internal medicine and hospital medicine, he won the 2016 David A. Rytand Clinical Teaching Award at Stanford’s medical school.
