23 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker’s Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

1. Oklahoma City-based Integris Health President and CEO Bruce Lawrence plans to retire at the end of the year.

2. Chicago-based Loretto Hospital selected George Miller Jr., to serve as its new president and CEO.

3. Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, S.C., named Charles E. Williams president and CEO.

4. Robert (Bob) Hemker, president and CEO of Escondido, Calif.-based Palomar Health, is retiring after nearly two decades with the organization.

5. Savannah, Ga.-based Memorial Health appointed Shayne George CEO.

6. Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, Fla., appointed Randy Currin CEO, effective Nov. 13.

7. Joplin, Mo.-based Freeman Health System selected Wesley B. Braman to serve as interim CEO at Nevada (Mo.) Regional Medical Center.

8. Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, Fla., appointed Karen Davis, BSN, interim president and CEO, effective Dec. 31.

9. Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Ala., named John Langlois CEO.

10. Jupiter (Fla.) Medical Center tapped Donald McKenna to serve as president and CEO, effective January 2018.

11. Louisville-based KentuckyOne Health selected Bruce Tassin to serve as CEO, in addition to his current role as president of Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky.

12. Navicent Health Baldwin in Milledgeville, Ga., appointed Darren Pearce, BSN, CEO.

13. Wilmington, Del.-based Saint Francis Healthcare selected Daniel Sinnott to lead as president and CEO, effective Nov. 13.

14. Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare appointed 10 group CEOs following the elimination of its regional hospital operations structure and implementation of a more streamlined, market-based operating structure:

●    Southern California Group (seven hospitals): Michele Finney
●    Arizona Group (nine hospitals): Frank Molinaro
●    Alabama, Tennessee and Missouri Group (eight hospitals): Keith Parrott
●    South Carolina and Massachusetts Group (seven hospitals): Jeff Welch
●    Michigan, Pennsylvania and Illinois Group (13 hospitals): Anthony J. Tedeschi, MD
●    Miami-Dade Group (five hospitals): Ana Mederos
●    Palm Beach Group (five hospitals): Mark Bryan
●    El Paso and the Rio Grande Valley Group (six hospitals): Sally Deitch, RN
●    San Antonio and North Texas Group (11 hospitals): Matt Stone
