21 recent hospital, health system executive moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week: 

1. Thomas J. Aaron, executive vice president and CFO of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, is retiring. 

2. Kaiser Permanente selected Gregory A. Adams to serve as chairman and CEO of the Oakland, Calif.-based healthcare giant. 

3. Baptist Health South Florida named Lourdes Boue CEO of West Kendall Baptist Hospital in Miami.

4. Patricia "Pat" Burns is the new president of Christus Santa Rosa Hospital–Westover Hills in San Antonio, Texas.

5. Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health made three executive leadership changes, including promoting CFO Ben Carter to COO.

6. Covenant Health, a Catholic nonprofit health system based in Tewksbury, Mass., selected Donald Clark to serve as controller.

7. Burlington, Mass.-based Wellforce health system named Michael J. Dandorph president and CEO.

8. Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health's fundraising arm named Bill Diggs president.

9. Penn State Health named Cletis Earle senior vice president and CIO for the Hershey, Pa.-based health system and Penn State College of Medicine.

10. Penn State Health selected Safa Farzin, MD, to serve as vice president for medical affairs and staff development.

11. Phoenix-based Banner Health named new CEOs at five Arizona hospitals, including selecting Debbie Flores as CEO of Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale.

12. Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, Mo., chose Angela P. Littrell to serve as the organization's next president and CEO.

13. Lena Moore joined Little Rock, Ark.-based Baptist Health as chief development officer of the health system's foundation.  

14. Pat O'Donnell, executive vice president for York, Pa.-based WellSpan Health and president of Chambersburg, Pa.-based WellSpan Summit Health, will retire next year.

15. Whittier, Calif.-based PIH Health selected Ramona Pratt, MSN, MSHCA, RN, and Ceonne Houston-Raasikh, DNP, MSN, RN, to serve as hospital CNOs. 

16. Tampa, Fla.-based Moffitt Cancer Center named Edmondo Robinson, MD, senior vice president and chief digital innovation officer.

17. Leslie Rocher, MD, senior vice president and CMO of Beaumont, Royal Oak (Mich.), will retire next spring from Southfield, Mich.-based Beaumont Health. 

18. Dallas-based Methodist Health System named Jim Scoggin CEO.

19. Greensburg, Pa.-based Excela Health appointed John Sphon permanent CEO.

20. Tony Tedeschi, MD, is retiring as CEO of Detroit Medical Center, effective Jan. 1.

21. Broward Health made three leadership changes, including naming David Weisman vice president of managed care.
