Moffitt Cancer Center taps Dr. Edmondo Robinson as chief digital innovation officer

Tampa, Fla.-based Moffitt Cancer Center has selected Edmondo Robinson, MD, as senior vice president and chief digital innovation officer, a newly created position.

Dr. Robinson has more than 16 years of clinical and technology experience.

In his new role, he will be responsible for Moffitt’s portfolio of digital innovation and seeks to create and test new services, programs, partnerships and technologies, according to the cancer center, which has more than 6,500 employees.

Dr. Robinson, a practicing academic hospitalist, previously was chief transformation officer and senior vice president of consumerism at Wilmington, Del.-based ChristianaCare.  

He also is the founding medical director of ChristianaCare Hospitalist Partners and teaches at Thomas Jefferson University’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia.
