18 latest hospital, health system CNO and CMO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system chief nursing officer and CMO moves in the last four weeks.

The CNO and CMO moves are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Greenville, N.C.-based Vidant Health selected Niti Armistead, MD, to serve as CMO, effective July 16.

2. Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, Va., named Ethan Collins, RN, chief nursing officer.

3. University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City permanently named Cindy J. Dawson, MSN, RN, chief nurse executive.

4. Cape Regional Health System in Cape May Court House, N.J., selected Rosemary Dunn, DrNP, RN, to serve as chief nursing officer.

5. Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Ga., appointed George E. Harrison, MD, its new CMO.

6. St. Luke's Boise (Idaho) Medical Center appointed Barbara Hocking its permanent chief nursing officer.

7. John Leslie, MD, CMO of North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, is departing in mid-July.

8. Sinai Hospital in Baltimore appointed Linda Kosnik, MSN, RN, its permanent vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer.

9. Atlanta-based Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital selected Thomas P. McGahan, MD, to serve as CMO.

10. Norman (Okla.) Regional Health System selected Brittni McGill, MSN, RN, to serve as its permanent chief nursing officer.

11. New London (N.H.) Hospital CMO Steven Powell, MD, resigned.

12. Fond du Lac, Wis.-based Agnesian HealthCare named Tami Schattschneider, BSN, vice president of patient services and chief nursing officer at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

13. TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., hired Eric Schuck, MD, to serve as CMO, effective Aug. 6.

14. Cullman (Ala.) Regional Medical Center selected William E. Smith, Jr., MD, to serve as its first CMO.

15. St. Louis-based SSM Health appointed Hsieng Su, MD, vice president for medical affairs and CMO for its St. Louis region, effective June 25.

16. Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Ga., appointed Angela Swayne, MD, its new CMO.

17. Fort HealthCare in Fort Atkinson, Wis., selected Marie Wiesmann to serve as permanent vice president of nursing services and chief nursing officer.

18. Cheverly-based University of Maryland Capital Region Health selected Joseph L. Wright, MD, to serve as senior vice president and CMO, effective Sept. 10.
