Cleveland Clinic names new population health chief: 6 things to know

Cleveland Clinic appointed Adam Myers, MD, chief of population health and director of Cleveland Clinic Community Care, effective June 18.

Here are six things to know:

1. Dr. Myers, an obstetrics and gynecology physician, most recently served as senior vice president, CMO and operations officer of Arlington-based Texas Health Physicians Group/Enterprise.

2. He was also chair of the clinical integration team at Southwestern Health Resources, a nonprofit clinically integrated network formed by Dallas-based University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Arlington-based Texas Health Resources.

3. Before that, he was senior vice president and CMO at Dallas-based Methodist Health System.

4. He is chairman of the American Hospital Association's Committee on Clinical Leadership

5. In his new role at Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Myers will lead Cleveland Clinic Community Care, a new population health approach that will use data and an expanded care team to identify and engage those who need care.

6. He will oversee a multidisciplinary team of physicians and advanced practice providers from several specialties, including internal medicine, geriatrics and general pediatrics.
