Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, Va., named Ethan Collins, RN, chief nursing officer.
Here are three points:
1. Mr. Collins will also serve as chief nursing officer at Francis Marion Manor Health & Rehabilitation and Smyth County Home Health, both based in Marion.
2. He previously worked as a critical care nurse in the intensive care unit at Norton (Va.) Community Hospital, working his way through the ranks to become director of patient care services.
3. He succeeds Linda Shepherd, who was named CNO at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va.
