13 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Somerset, Ky.-based Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital CEO Tim Bess resigned March 5.

2. Chicago-based Presence Health President and CEO Michael Englehart is resigning, effective March 30.

3. Richmond-based Bon Secours Virginia appointed Paul Gaden CEO of Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va., and Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk, Va.

4. Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage selected Ella Goss, MSN, RN, to serve as CEO, effective March 12.

5. Harrisburg (Ill.) Medical Center named Donald H. Hutson CEO.

6. Kirby Johnson, CEO of Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, Iowa, is departing for another job April 1.

7. Nacogdoches (Texas) Medical Center Health Network appointed Philip Koovakada, MSN, permanent CEO.

8. Morris County Hospital in Council Grove, Kan., selected Kevin Leeper to serve as CEO.

9. Alexandria Bay, N.Y.-based River Hospital CEO Ben Moore plans to retire in October.

10. Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls, Iowa, hired Doug Morse to serve as CEO/administrator, effective April 16.

11. Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Penrose-St. Francis Health Services CEO Margaret Sabin is resigning March 16.

12. Kansas City, Mo.-based HCA Midwest Health appointed Matt Sogard CEO of Overland Park (Kan.) Regional Medical Center, effective April 9.

13. West Des Moines, Iowa-based Mercy Health Network named Sean Williams president and CEO of Mercy Iowa City (Iowa), effective May 1.
